This year, the team just feels different. Obviously, you feel pretty good about a team that's undefeated and has been completely dominating the opposition for 54 straight games. But, beyond that, they've gotten some fantastic performances from Seniors like Vantrell Reed - who batted .401 with 59 RBIs & Josh Gibson - who batted .442 with 67 RBIs and 52 stolen bases. Whenever you have two guys hitting the ball like Ted Williams and swiping bags like Rickey Henderson, you know you got a pretty good shot at picking up a win.
LSU Shreveport's World Series Journey Starts Friday
The LSUS Pilots are the #1 seed for the NAIA tournament - which makes sense after a record breaking season. And their first game of the Double Elimination National Championship Tournament is Friday at 1:30 PM against the #10 seed Grand View Vikings.
Obviously, most of us can't take a trip up to Lewiston, Idaho to watch the games live. But, the Pilots typically stream their games on YouTube and on the occasions they can't, they do a fantastic job keeping us updated on Facebook.
You can see the full tournament bracket and see potential matchups here.
