What a way to kick off the 2024-25 football season! We got some real gridiron action taking place in Cowboy Stadium just in time for Labor Day weekend. It's a good one too! The stage is set for McNeese State University to take on Southern University and A&M College A&M for the fourth time since 2004.
WHERE IS THE BLOCK PARTY GOING TO BE?
According to mcneesesport.com, with the threat of rain on Friday night, the Lake Charles Toyota Cowboy Block Party will be moved inside the Legacy Center. So, there'll be no rain on our parade! All Cowboy fans are welcome to come out and celebrate MSU's season opener indoors.
Doors open at 6 pm, fans can enter through the main doors near the Legacy Center ticket office. Three Thirty-Seven will begin their set at 7:15 pm. By the way, fans are still allowed to bring their drinks and lawn chairs! As always Food trucks will be set up outside and $1 beer will be sold on site.
Each time the Cowboys have scored a victory against the Jaguars and are sitting pretty with a 3-0 advantage in the series the Jaguars. So, both teams are going to looking to prove something in Saturday's game. The Cowboys will be looking to claim win number four, while Southern will be on a mission to clench their first victory.
