Heavy Rain And Flood Watch Issued For Arklatex
The National Weather Service in Shreveport is warning everyone in the Arklatex to prepare for the possibility of an excessive amount of rain over the next couple of days.

Forecasters with the NWS are confident that rain and thunderstorms will increase across the Arklatex from early today and continue through tonight and into tomorrow, resulting in widespread rainfall amounts of two to four inches for much of the immediate Arklatex area.
Due to the high probability of this heavy rainfall, the NWS has issued a Flood Watch from this morning through tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon.
Flood Watch Includes The Following Areas
Included in the Flood Watch area are the following parishes in Louisiana: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Caldwell, Claiborne, De Soto, Grant, Jackson, La Salle, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Ouachita, Red River, Sabine, Union, Webster and Winn
Also included are these counties of Arkansas: Columbia, Lafayette and Union
And these counties in East Texas: Harrison, Marion, Panola, Sabine and Shelby
Other Storm Systems Are Possible Again Wednesday and Saturday
Once we are beyond the immediate storms with possible heavy rain and flooding, the National Weather Service in Shreveport is concerned about other incoming systems Wednesday and Saturday of this week.
Officials believe these severe thunderstorms will mainly hit the eastern areas of the Arklatex, mainly tomorrow afternoon and possibly again this Saturday. Those forecasters state the main risk from these coming weather systems will be damaging winds, although one or two tornadoes cannot be ruled out at this time.
