Lake Charles

Downtown Lake Charles
Downtown Lake Charles comes alive each December with festive displays along the Lakefront. The famous “12 Days of Christmas” light installations line the area, offering perfect photo spots. Millennium Park extends its hours after the annual Light Up the Lake Celebration, starting November 30.

Stroll along Shell Beach Drive, where historic homes shine with thousands of lights for a magical night. Don't miss the Jingle and Mingle: The Magical Christmas on Shell Beach Drive, featuring carolers and live performances at select homes.

Central Lake Charles
Canal Street in central Lake Charles is a must-see for holiday light lovers. The Richard family’s spectacular display covers nearly an entire block, featuring scenes from the North Pole, a nativity set, and glowing Christmas trees. Their home has become a treasured holiday destination for locals.

South Lake Charles
South Lake Charles dazzles with festive displays from businesses and neighborhoods. Trinity Baptist Church lights up an entire block with synchronized displays set to holiday music on 88.9 FM. Prien Lake Park also shines with a giant Christmas tree, perfect for family photos.

Westlake

Westlake residents show their holiday spirit through a friendly decorating competition. Drive through the community to see beautifully lit homes while sipping hot cocoa and listening to Christmas carols. Afterward, stop by The Max for festive food and drinks.

Carlyss

Choupique Road in Carlyss shines brightly thanks to the Lawton family’s Christmas display. Locals love driving through the glowing wonderland featuring family heirloom decorations. You might even spot a special guest: the Grinch!

Sulphur

Pecan Street and Heritage Square
Pecan Street in Sulphur is like stepping into a Hallmark Christmas movie. Stroll through glowing displays or take a carriage ride. The Henning Cultural Center and The Grove at Heritage Square also feature enchanting decorations.

Don’t miss Christmas Under the Oaks and Holiday House from December 5-7. This three-day event includes artisan vendors, carnival rides, live music, and even a parade. Snowfall, delicious treats, and holiday cheer make this event unforgettable.

Christmas on the Hill kicks off Thanksgiving night with thousands of lights synchronized to holiday tunes. Expect dazzling arches, giant candy canes, and a massive 20-foot Christmas tree.

DeQuincy

The DeQuincy Railroad Museum transforms into a magical winter wonderland during the holidays. Historic trains and scenic grounds sparkle with Christmas lights.
