Are you a fan of reality shows? How about shows that feature people in the Bayou State? Some popular reality television shows out of Louisiana include Swamp People, Duck Dynasty, New Orleans Real World, and more.

Swamp People still airs on the History Channel and features Louisiana hunters during the 30-day alligator hunting season that takes place every September in Louisiana. The show became popular when it premiered back in 2010.

If you ask folks from Louisiana what is the most popular reality show that has been based out of Louisiana, they would probably say Duck Dynasty. The show started back in 2012 and ran for 12 seasons ending in 2017 on the television network A&E.

The show followed the Robertson family and their business Duck Commander. They made duck calls for hunters and the hijinks on the show made these folks instant stars. The show was so popular you couldn't go anywhere without season Duck Dynasty shirts, blankets, and other swag in stores.

Big new Duck Dynasty fans, the show is coming back in 2025. The network A&E has announced that the show is coming back and will be named Duck Dynasty: The Revival. 

In the network post on Facebook, they said,

Duck Dynasty is BACK with #DuckDynasty: The Revival! Join Willie Robertson, Korie Robertson, and their growing family as they plan the future of Duck Commander and pass down their legacy. -A&E


The show is set to premiere in the Summer of 2025. So all your favorites are back and the crazy hijinks will most likely ensue when the show airs this Summer.
