(Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Student managers in college basketball are often the forgotten unsung heroes of a program, working tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything runs smoothly. From setting up practice equipment and rebounding for players to handling laundry, and even helping with practice drills and running scouts, their contributions go far beyond what most fans see.

Student Managers are often asked to put in long hours with the team on and off the floor, including doing all of it out of the kindness of their own hearts, most without financial compensation.

Let me introduce you to the latest viral sensation for McNeese Basketball, Amir Khan...

On Monday Night, McNeese solidified its place at the top of the Southland Conference as the Cowboys dismantled UTRGV inside the Legacy Center to win their second consecutive Southland Conference Regular Season Crown. But that wasn't all the talk on Monday; it was what was on Social Media prior to Senior Night.

Most of the time when you turn on ESPN, you'll find a Christian Shumate "Shu-Slam" highlighting the highlights for the McNeese Cowboys, but this time things are a little different.

McNeese Student Manager Amir Khan has captured the hearts of college basketball fans all across the country after McNeese creative specialist Phillip Mitchell posted a video to Social Media of Khan and the Cowboys singing and jamming out to "In and Out" by Lud Foe before the Cowboys took to the floor on Saturday against Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

But, not only did the video of Khan go viral, but it was also his bio on the McNeese Athletics page. It reads.. "If they kept manager stats for rebounding and wiping up wet spots on the court, I'd put up Wilt Chamberlain numbers."

The Head Coach of the McNeese Cowboys Will Wade has been very appreciative of the Student Managers throughout the season as they are all a crucial part in the team's success. I can attest first hand to just how much the team loves Khan and the other student managers.

Will Wade reflected on the Senior Managers postgame... "We had no managers when we showed up. Those guys are here at 5:30, 6:00 in the morning. It takes a lot of people to make all this work, and I’m just very appreciative.”

Anytime you can capture the likes of Barstool Sports, Big Cat, The Score, and others, you have done something special. Sometimes in the world, we make the wrong people famous for all of the wrong things, this is the direct opposite and is a light to see in a dark world of social media.

Check out the video, it is incredible!
