The news broke yesterday that one of the nation's most recognizable brands and famous sports bar and restaurant has also fallen to the same fate. This global brand is known for its pitchers of beer, its wings, and the unique uniforms its wait staff wears while serving customers.

This famous sports bar and restaurant is known for its signature orange and white uniforms and is the widely popular brand Hooters. The company was founded in 1983 and has been open for over 41 years now. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Hooters has more than 430 locations worldwide, 39 of which are in the state of Texas.

According to CNN,

Hooters filed for bankruptcy, the company announced Monday. In the bankruptcy process, the company plans to sell all of its 100 company-owned restaurants to two franchisee groups that operate Hooters locations in the Tampa, Florida, and Chicago areas.

The company said it plans to exit Chapter 11 bankruptcy in “approximately 90-120 days". --CNN

Now the big question is, will this effect the Hooters locations in Texas? We already know that one location in Galveston has been closed, but we have not received any word on if any other Texas locations are planned to be closed.
