After one heck of a week with tons of snow, roads and businesses being closed, and everyone has to be locked down at home, we are all ready to get out of the house and have some fun.

Some of you may have Mardi Gras balls this weekend while others are looking to take in a concert or go see live music. All of that is happening this weekend in Lake Charles and across Southwest Louisiana. Here's what is going on in the lake area.

Country music artist and Louisiana boy, Frank Foster, will be live in Lake Charles on Friday night. He will be performing live at the Golden Nugget's Grand Event Center and will hit the stage at 8:30 pm.  There may be some tickets still available so check with the Golden Nugget box office.

Geno Delafose will be live at Linda's Lounge on Lake Street in Lake Charles on Friday night with his band French Rockin' Boogie. Geno and the boys will hit the stage at 10:00 pm and play until 1:00 am.

Steel Shot will also be live at Linda's Lounge on Lake Street in Lake Charles but on Saturday night. Those crazy boys from Cameron Parish will take the stage at 9:00 pm that night and play until 1:00 am.

Sunday Funday includes live music brunches all over the area. You can enjoy live music at Rickenjacks on Ryan Street featuring the band Zydecane. Luna's Bar & Grill in Downtown Lake Charles has a brunch with live music starting at 10:00 am, and Tia Juanita's Fish Camp has a jazz brunch starting at 10:30 am.

Several Farmers Markets are going on Saturday morning in the area. One in Lake Charles located on Biblo Street by the old courthouse, one in Moss Bluff on Highway 378, and one in Westlake at Millers Super Saver on Sampson Street. All three markets' hours are from 8:00 am to Noon.
