The pick: Will Smith
When deciding who is the best New Orleans Saints player to ever wear #91, the choice is limited to linebackers Ken Marchiol and Kasim Edebali, and defensive linemen Monte Bennett, Robert "Pig" Goff, Brady Smith, Grady Jackson, and Will Smith.
A native of New York, New York, Smith was a part-time starter in his first two seasons, totaling 78 tackles, including 16 sacks.
The 6-foot-3, 282-pound Smith became a full-time starter at right defensive end for the Saints in the 2006 season, and was named to the Pro Bowl, after racking up 10.5 sacks.
A starter on the 2009 Super Bowl team, Smith went on start for six more seasons for the Saints, including that 2009 season, when he compiled a career high 13 sacks
During the preseason of 2013 Smith suffered a knee injury, forcing him to miss the entire season.
After being released by the Saints and New England Patriots in 2014, Smith retired.
In 10 NFL seasons, all with the Saints, Smith appeared in 139 games, including 120 as a starter, Smith totaled 324 tackles, to go along with 67.5 sacks and 2 interceptions.
