Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and the Patriots can kick and scream all they want about Mr. Perfect's suspension, but it really doesn't matter at all.

Take a second to think about the actual outcome of this suspension before getting wrapped up in the Patriots' "how dare you attack us" rhetoric. I think you'll find their outrage quite ridiculous when we're done here.

Does anybody really think a four game suspension for Tom Brady is going to keep them out of the playoffs? Their first four games come against the Steelers, Bills, Cowboys and Jaguars. We all know the Jags don't stand a chance, regardless of who is playing quarterback, and the Bills are trying to adjust to a new coach. Realistically, the Pats will most likely be 2-2 or even 3-1 whenever Tom Brady returns to the roster. Even if they're 1-3, nobody else in the AFC East is ready to claim that division.

All they need is a Wild Card spot in the AFC, and guess what that would mean? It would mean that the Patriots would be back in the playoffs with Tom Brady back under center. In the cosmic football sense, his suspension wouldn't matter at all. It might not sit well with you, but we all know it's going to happen.

Now that we're on the same page, let's all get the Patriots, their owner and Tom Brady himself to shut up.

Sympathy is for people that deserve it. Cheaters who got caught and now want to point fingers back at their accusers don't exactly get a shoulder to cry on. Roger Goodell had to beef up security at his New England home because of this whole situation. It's absurd. This story is so "big" that when the story broke, even CNN was talking about the destroyed phone.

One last time though: it doesn't matter. At all. Do like I do and just start tuning the Patriots out or changing the channel when they talk about Brady. It's not even worth getting mad about.
