There is no question the 2012 season ended abruptly, and for the players, coaches and fans of LSU, it ended all too soon.

The Tigers won the regular season SEC title and were a national seed, but were stunned by Stony Brook in the NCAA SuperRegional in Baton Rouge.

Instead of ending their season in Omaha, the Tigers are watching three of their SEC brethren trying to win a national championship.

LSU will have a great nucleus of players returning, including SEC Hitter of the Year Raph Rhymes and leading home run hitter Mason Katz.

But questions abound in center field, on the left side of the infield and, in the pitching department, a Friday night starter and late innings relief specialist.
