Lafayette Christian Academy basketball standout Tamera Johnson will be staying close to home to play her future college basketball.

Johnson recently signed an official National Letter of Intent with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns.

A 5-11 forward, Johnson attended Northside as a freshman, before transferring to LCA.

Johnson, a second-team All-State pick, averaged 16 points & 10 rebounds-per-game as a junior last season, helping LCA to the Division IV state title, the third-consecutive state championship for the Lady Knights.

Currently a senior at LCA, Johnson is scheduled to graduate next spring, and will be eligible at UL next season.
