UL Baseball Hosts FIU – Preview
Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns baseball team returns to the diamond on Friday evening, when coach Tony Robichaux's squad plays host to the FIU Panthers, in the opening of a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series, at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.
Louisiana stands at 15-17 overall, and 5-7 in Sun Belt Conference play, while FIU comes in at 19-13 overall, and 7-5 in league play.
The Panthers are expected to throw junior left-handed Jason McVay (1-2 3.51 era.) in the series opener, while the Cajuns are expected to counter with senior right-hander Jordan Nicholson (3-3, 4.31 era.).
The two teams have pitching staffs that are tied for the league lead in era (3.69).
Games times are 6 o'clock on Friday night, 6:05 pm on Saturday night, and 12:05 pm on Sunday.
