Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun baseball team fell on the road on Saturday, dropping the middle game of a three-game, weekend, Sun Belt Conference series, 7-2, to the UALR Trojans, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Louisiana got on the board first, as Seth Harrison singled home Ryan Leonards in the top half of the first inning, giving them a 1-0 lead.
UALR came right back with a run in the bottom half of the first to tie it, before also scoring single runs in the second, and third, to take a 3-1 lead.
The Cajuns drew closer in the fourth inning, when Chase Compton singled home Caleb Adams, cutting the lead to 3-2.
The Trojans put the game away in the eighth inning however, scoring three runs, courtesy of a triple by Bryson Thionnet, and a home run off the bat of David Guarno.
Compton led the UL hitting attack in a losing effort, going 3-for-4, with a run driven in, while Guarno paced a 13-hit UALR offensive effort, going 2-for-4, with a home run, and two RBI's.
