Tigers Stay Unbeaten With 13-0 Win Over Privateers

No. 13 LSU erupted for 13 runs on 14 hits, and junior right-hander Tyler Jones fired five shutout innings as the Tigers blanked New Orleans, 13-0, Tuesday night in Alex Box Stadium.
The Tigers (4-0) have outscored their opponents 41-8 through their first four games. The Privateers fell to 1-3 with the loss.
Jones (1-0), a junior college transfer from Milwaukee, Wisc., allowed only three hits and struck out six in his LSU debut. UNO right-hander Garrett Manning (0-1) was charged with the loss after surrendering eight earned runs on 10 hits in 4.2 innings.
