For the first time since 1985, Louisiana Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team will host a postseason basketball game, when they take on the Rice Owls, tonight at the Cajundome, in the first round of the Collegeinsider.com Tournament.
The last home postseason game for Louisiana was back in March of 1985, when the Cajuns defeated Florida, 65-64, in the final game played at Blackham Coliseum.

Rice put several runners aboard Tuesday evening at Reckling Park and Louisiana's pitchers stood tall in not allowing a single one to reach home plate in a 2-0 Cajuns victory. Pitchers Jordan Nicholson, Chase Traffica and Caleb Kellogg combined to strand 18 Rice runners to make a two-spot in the third inning stand up for the Cajuns (17-11).
LSU closed to within two in the game's final minute, but a Bryan Beasley steal and two free throws with 9 seconds left iced it as Rice won in Houston 74-68.
