Legendary football coach Lewis "Louie" Cook was officially honored by the New Orleans Saints last night as their High School Coach of the Year.

After leading the Notre Dame Pioneers to the Division III high school state championship in December, the 5th career state title for Cook as a head coach, he learned he would was chosen as the Saints HS Coach of the Year.

Last night, he was given the honor in a ceremony at Impastato's in Metarie.

Football awards are nothing new to Cook, who was a nominee for the Don Shula National Coach of the Year Award, is a member of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame (Class of 2018), and countless other honors he's earned over his four decades of coaching.
