The Sun Belt Conference today released its preseason coaches' poll, and it shouldn't come as a surprise that Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns are picked at the bottom of the Western Division.

The Cajuns, getting ready to start the inaugural season of new head coach Garry Broadhead, were just 7-23 a year ago, 1-15 in SBC play.

And, this will be an extremely young team this year, with only one senior and one junior.  The Cajuns will only dress eleven players this season.

It was also no surprise that Middle Tennessee and UALR were picked to win the East and West Divisions, respectively.  FIU was picked second in the East, followed by South Alabama, Florida Atlantic, Western Kentucky and Troy.

In the West, Arkansas State is picked #2, followed by North Texas, ULM and Louisiana.

UL, North Texas, Western Kentucky, Troy and FAU all have new coaches this year.

The Cajuns open their 2012-13 season with an exhibition game against Centenary on Saturday, November 3, at 12 noon at Earl K. Long Gym.
