It was all sixes for the New Orleans Pelicans at the NBA Draft Lottery. They had a six percent chance of getting the top pick, which was the sixth best odds. After a lot of nail biting, they ended up exactly where they were expected, sixth.

Last time the Pelicans were in the lottery, they landed the sixth pick, selected Nerlens Noel and traded him to Philly for Jrue Holiday. There's a chance General Manager Dell Demps will trade the pick again, but here's a glimpse at some possibilities.

New Orleans needs another scorer on the perimeter, and Oklahoma's Buddy Hield or Providence's Kris Dunn could be there for the pick. Here's the thing, sixth overall picks have been hit or miss the last few years.

Portland selected Damian Lillard sixth overall, and that turned out perfect for the Trail Blazers. On the other hand, Jan Vesely was a sixth overall pick too. Let's hope the Pels pick a Lillard, not a Vesely.

There were really no surprises in the Draft Lottery. The 76ers ended up with the top pick, which they tanked all last season for. The Lakers were right behind him with the number two pick, the Celtics were at three, and so on and so forth. Pelicans fans wanted to see the same magic they witnessed to get Anthony Davis, but the ping pong balls were too predictable this time around.

Honestly, it might be the most boring Draft Lottery in the history of Draft Lotteries.

Did anybody really celebrate when the saw the 76ers get the #1 pick? Come on, NBA. Where are you to rig things when we really need it?

Pelicans' Head Coach Alvin Gentry could have really used one of those top three picks, but it wasn't in the cards...or balls. Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram will be off the board, but New Orleans can still probably get a decent player with the sixth overall pick...unless they trade it away again.
