LSU Hosts Crusaders In Weekend Series

The 13th-ranked LSU Tigers will host the Holy Cross Crusaders in a three-game, weekend, non-conference series, beginning on Friday. Bill Franques, of lsusports.net, has the story, below.

LSU is ranked No. 13 this week in the Collegiate Baseball magazine poll. The Tigers have won their first four games by a combined score of 41-8 while recording a .348 team batting average and a 1.50 team ERA.

Friday's game will mark the 2011 season opener for Holy Cross, located in Worcester, Mass. The Crusaders, members of the Patriot League, posted a 26-26 overall mark last season and finished third in the conference with a 10-10 record.
