The 14th-ranked LSU Tigers are back in action on Saturday evening, when coach Les Miles’ squad plays host to the fourth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in a key SEC showdown.

The game is the final game of a three-game home stand for the Tigers.

LSU, who defeated Ole Miss, 10-7, on October 25, is currently 7-2, overall, and 3-2 in SEC play, while Alabama, who beat Tennessee, 34-20, on October 25, will come in at  7-1, overall, while standing at 4-1 in league play.

Offensively, LSU is averaging 32.8 points, 414.2 total yards, 225.7 rushing yards, and 188.6 passing yards per game, while Alabama is averaging 36.5 points, 508.9 yards of total offense, 218.6 rushing yards, and 290.2 passing yards per game.

Defensively, the Tigers are allowing 15.9 points, 318.1 total yards, 159.7 rushing yards, and 158.4 passing yards a contest, while the Crimson Tide are giving up 14.0 points, 276.6 total yards, 77.6 rushing yards, and 199.1 passing yards per match-up.

LSU is led by sophomore quarterback Anthony Jennings, who has thrown for 1,190 yards and eight touchdowns, along with freshman running back Leonard Fournette, who has accumulated 657 rushing yards, including seven touchdowns, on 131 carries, and sophomore receiver Travin Dural, who has 676 receiving yards, including seven touchdowns.

Alabama is paced by senior quarterback Blake Sims, who has thrown for 2.034 yards, with 15 touchdowns, along with junior running back T.J. Yeldon, who has rushed for 618 yards and five touchdowns, and junior receiver Amari Cooper, who has 1,132 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Alabama leads the all-time series, 48-25-5, and has won the last three meetings.

Kickoff time at Tiger Stadium is scheduled for 6:15 pm.
