LSU Drops 76-64 SEC Basketball Contest To Florida-Game Recap
The LSU Tiger men's basketball team fell on the road in SEC action on Saturday, dropping a 76-64 decision to the 14th-ranked Florida Gators, in Gainesville, Florida.
The Gators jumped out to a 38-26 halftime lead and never looked back, in capturing the 12-point win.
Florida out-shot the Tigers from the field, 56%-44%, and also had a 28-24 rebound advantage.
Leading the way for the Gators was Erik Murphy, who had 15 points, while Justin Hamilton paced the Tigers, in a losing cause, with a game-high 27 points, to go along with eight rebounds.
With the victory, Florida improved to 15-4 overall, and 3-1 in SEC play, while LSU fell to 12-7 overall, and 2-3 in league play.
