LSU Baseball Takes On Mississippi St. In SEC Tournament – Preview

The second-ranked LSU Tigers are back on the diamond on Wednesday afternoon, taking on the Mississippi St. Bulldogs, in the 2012 SEC Tournament, at Regions Park, in Hoover, Alabama.

The top-seeded Tigers, who won the SEC regular season championship, are 42-14 on the season, while Mississippi St., who defeated Arkansas, 9-1, on Tuesday, is 35-21.

LSU defeated the Bulldogs in 2-of-3 games earlier this year in Baton Rouge, winning the first two games, by scores of 3-2 and 4-3, before dropping the final game, 7-1.

If LSU wins, they would play a second-round on Thursday against Kentucky at approximately 12:30 pm. If they lose, they would play play in an elimination game at 9:30 a.m. Thursday against the winner of Ole Miss and Arkansas.

First-pitch is scheduled for approximately 12:30 pm.
