Ty Ross drove home Mason Katz with a walk-off single in the bottom half of the ninth inning on Saturday, lifting the 12th-ranked LSU Tigers to a 2-1 victory over the third-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks, in the middle game of a three-game, weekend, SEC series, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

The win gave the Tigers wins in the first two games of the series.

Outfielder Raph Rhymes paced LSU at the plate, going 3-for-4, with an rbi.

Chris Cotton (3-0) picked up the win for LSU out of the bullpen, while Barrett Astin (2-1) suffered the loss for the Razorbacks.

With the win, LSU improved to 21-6 overall, and 5-3 in SEC play, while Arkansas dropped to 22-5 overall, and 5-3 in league play.

The series finale is scheduled for Sunday at 1 pm.
