Gamenight: Cajuns, ‘Toppers to Collide at Diddle

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns will try for their third straight win Thursday night when they face the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at E. A. Diddle Arena in Bowling Green, KY.

Tipoff is at 7:05pm and can be heard on ESPN1420 and Hot 107.9, with airtime at 6:35pm.

The Cajuns (7-8), (1-0) and Hilltoppers (5-10), (1-1) are meeting in Bowling Green for the sixth time in eight years.

The Cajuns broke a six game losing streak in the series with a win in Lafayette last season, but the Hilltoppers got their revenge in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Hot Springs, AR last March.

The Cajuns have won eleven straight Sun Belt Conference regular season games dating back to last season.  They defeated Florida Atlantic last Saturday at the Cajundome to begin conference play.

WKU is loaded with newcomers after losing their front line of Sergio Kerush, Steffphon Pettigrew and Juan Padilla from last season.  Starting shooting guard Caden Dickerson has been lost for the season with an injury.  The Hilltoppers have relied on a bevy of talented freshmen to carry the load for them this season.  WKU opened conference play with an overtime win at ULM before falling at home to FIU Saturday afternoon.

The Cajuns haven't won at Diddle since the 2003-04 season when they defeated the Hilltoppers 110-102.
