Five Cajuns Named To LSWA All Louisiana Baseball Team
Five members of the Louisiana Ragin' Cajun baseball team have been named to the LSWA (Louisiana Sports Writers Association) All-Louisiana team, with one Cajun earning Newcomer Of The Year honors.
Ragin' Cajun junior second baseman Stefan Trosclair earned first-team honors, as well as the state baseball Newcomer of the Year award. Senior Tyler Girouard was named to the first-team as as the Utility player.
All-American junior shortstop Blake Trahan (now with the Cincinnati Reds organization), junior outfielder Kyle Clement and freshmen pitcher Gunner Leger were all named to the LSWA All-Louisiana second team.
LSU shortstop Alex Bregman is the player of the year, while Tigers pitcher Alex Lange was named LSWA freshmen of the year and pitcher of the year.
LSU coach Paul Mainieri was named coach of the year, receiving 14 votes. Louisiana head coach Tony Robichaux was next highest on the vote count with 5.
