New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis joined elite company with his performance on Saturday night in Milwaukee. Unfortunately for New Orleans, it wasn't enough as the Bucks clipped the Hornets 117-113.

According to Elias Sports Bureau, Davis (19 years old) is the third teen ever to score 25+ points and pull down 10+ boards while shooting 70% from the field in an NBA game. The other two players to accomplish the feat were Dwight Howard and Kevin Durant. Pretty good company for the brow.

Anthony Davis (pictured left) was nearly unstoppable. He scored 28 points (on 10-14 from the field), grabbed 11 rebounds, and was 8 of 9 from the charity stripe. Ryan Anderson was solid off the bench as well, finishing with a double-double of 20 points and 12 rebounds. He hit 4 triples in the loss.

Point guard Greivis Vasquez scored 13 and dished out 11 assists. He turned it over 3 times. In fact, turnovers is what did the Hornets in. On their best shooting night of the season (53.2%), the fleur-de-bees turned it over 19 times.

"We'll fix it," Davis explained. "We'll go back to the drawing board, look at film and see what we can do better. We stayed in the game the whole time. We had the lead sometimes. We've got to learn from our mistakes. We've got to talk more. Our communication's got to get better."

Monty Williams hopes his team improves in a hurry. Tuesday night they welcome the 6-1 New York Knicks to the Hive. Tip-off is set for 7:00.
