Cajuns Slip Two Spots in NFCA/USA Today Poll
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns softball team dropped three games to top-ranked Florida over the weekend, but the losses to the defending national champions didn't hurt them much in the latest NFCA/USA Today poll released Tuesday.
The Cajuns slipped just two spots, from #5 to #7 this week.
Florida got 30 of the 32 first place votes to stay #1, while #2 Michigan and #3 Auburn got the other two #1 votes.
Alabama, Oregon and James Madison are ranked 4, 5, 6 respectively. LSU is ranked 14th, while former Cajuns' opponent Baylor is ranked #21.
Louisiana (32-6) is back in action Wednesday evening against McNeese State. TalkRadio 960-AM will carry the game beginning at 5:45 with Steve Peloquin calling the action. Fans can also hear the game worldwide on the radioPup app, a free download for your smart phone.
The Cajuns are back home this weekend against Appalachian State.
