Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun men’s basketball team returns to the hardwood on Tuesday evening, when coach Bob Marlin’s squad plays host to the Pepperdine Waves in non-conference action.

The game will mark the only game of a short one-game homestand for Louisiana, who opens up Sun Belt Conference play on December 31, when they travel to Jonesboro, Arkansas to take on Arkansas St.

Tipoff time at the Cajundome is scheduled for 7 o'clock.

The Cajuns, who beat UNO, 76-71, on Saturday afternoon, has won 9 of their last 10 games, and are 9-3 on the young season.

Louisiana is outscoring the opposition, 86.4/72.5, and outshooting them, 48%/45%, while also holding down a 41.2/31.7 rebound advantage.

The Cajuns are paced by junior guard Frank Bartley, who is averaging 17.7 points and 4.1 rebounds, and junior forward Bryce Washington, who is averaging 14.3 points, to go along with 12.0 rebounds.

Pepperdine, members of the West Coast Conference, lost to USC, 93-67, back on December 11, to fall to 4-6 on the season.

The Waves are being outscored by opponents, 80.1/73.2, and outshot, 47%/46%, while holding down a 36.4/35.2 rebounding edge.

Pepperdine is led by senior forward Lamond Murray, Jr., who is averaging 20.9 points and 4.9 rebounds-per-game, and senior forward Chris Reyes, who is at 15.0 and 6.1, respectively.

Pepperdine defeated Louisiana last season, 79-59, in Malibu, California.
