Cajuns Fall To Cowboys, 77-72

Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team fell on the road in non-conference action on Saturday evening, suffering a 77-72 setback to the McNeese St. Cowboys in Lake Charles.
Louisiana led at the half, 30-27, but were outscored, 50-42, by McNeese St. in the second half, as the Cowboys went on to the five-point win
The Cajuns out-rebounded the Cowboys, 44-32, but were out-shot from the field, 47%-38%, including being outshot, 50%-33%, in the second half.
Leading the way for McNeese St. was forward Adrian Fields, who scored a game-high 19 points, while Louisiana was paced in a losing cause by Stephen Wronkoski, Shawn Long, and Elfrid Payton, who had 17 points apiece.
With the victory, the Cowboys improved to 4-3 on the season, while the Cajuns fell to 3-6.
Louisiana returns to the hardwood on Tuesday evening, when they play host to the Lamar Cardinals at the Cajundome.
