Cajuns Announce 2015-16 Men’s Hoops Schedule

The University of Louisiana today released the 2015-16 men's basketball schedule Tuesday.  The schedule will feature two exhibition games, fourteen home games and fifteen road games.

Coach Bob Marlin's squad will return all five starters from last year's 22-14 team that advanced to the quarterfinals of the College Insider Tournament.  The Cajuns have won 45 games in the last two seasons.  Among the returnees is senior Shawn Long, who played for team USA in the Pan American games this summer.

Louisiana will open its season with an exhibition game on November 9th against Mississippi College before opening the regular season against Louisiana College on Louisiana College.  The Cajuns will also face longtime rivals New Orleans and McNeese State at the Cajundome along with Loyola (NO) and a second exhibition game against Spring HIll College.

The Cajuns have a formidable road schedule out of conference with road trips to Miami (FL), Alabama, Louisiana Tech, UCLA  and Pepperdine.

Conference play begins early with a December 3rd trip to UL Monroe.  The Cajuns will play five of their first six conference games on the road.

Fans will have plenty of chances to see the Cajuns in late January/early February when the Cajuns have seven of eight games at home, all of them conference contests.
