The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns trailed at Auburn 42-38 with just seconds remaining in the first half.  But a falling down three pointer by Cinmeon Bowers as time expired extended the lead to seven and gave Auburn all the momentum.

The Tigers then made seven of eleven three pointers in the second half and ran away from the Cajuns, tallying a 105-80 victory at the Auburn Arena Friday night.

The Cajuns still trailed by seven points after a Steven Wronkoski free throw with 14:44 remaining, but then the Tigers went on a 14-3 run over the next four and a half minutes to stretch the lead to eighteen, 68-50 to effectively end the contest.

The Cajuns (1-2) shot 58% in the second half, but Auburn scalded the nets at a 69 percent clip (20-29) in the second half.  Auburn made 11-26 (42.3%) from beyond the arc for the game, while the Cajuns shot just 3-15.

Auburn turned it over just ten times,while the Cajuns hit the 20-turnover mark for the third straight game.

Brian Williams paced the Cajuns with 18 points on 7-10 shooting.  He also led the Cajuns in rebounds with seven.  Sophomore Jay Wright had eleven points as did freshmen Bryce Washington and Johnathan Stove.  Xavian Rimmer tallied ten points to give the Cajuns five in double figures.  But Cajuns' big man Shawn Long scored just six points and could only gather two rebounds in 23 minutes of playing time.

Auburn was led by K. T. Harrell with 24 points.  Tahj Shamsid-Deen followed with 21 points.  Bowers had his third straight double double with 20 points and 12 rebounds.  Jordan Granger scored fourteen points and Malcolm Canada rounded out the five men in double figures for the Tigers (2-1) with ten points and six assists.

The Cajuns now head to Las Vegas for the Main Event tournament to be held at the MGM Grand Casino Arena in Las Vegas.  They'll play Milwaukee Monday afternoon at 5pm (CST).
