MOOSIC, Pa. (AP) — Alex Rodriguez was hitless in four at-bats and played DH instead of third base after feeling tightness in his left quad before the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders game.

Rodriguez struck out three times as he continues to rehab from the left hip surgery he had in January. He told reporters after the game that his quad was sore and that he wasn't sure if he would play Sunday. The third baseman's 20-day rehab limit ends Sunday.

He hopes to rejoin the Yankees on Monday in Texas, but wasn't sure if he would play third or DH on his return.
